i love smk project. lol. why? cos we have to evaluate service from a service provider. my grp chose din tai fung. hehe. and so, today park at tangs and go to paragon eat din tai fung. asked a few qns but ended up wif only a phone number. anyways, it is stated in the assignment that we shld check out the major competitors. so wat does that means? crystal jade la mian xiao long bao here we come. haha. i juz loooove eating.

for IM project, we have to choose an SME. so we chose Canelė. Nice pastries shop. lol. altho i dun really like the cakes and stuff there. but its dam classy and good looking. lol. Canelė here we come! all in the name of PROJECT! hehe

tmr going waffletown eat breakfast. then head further down to eat island creamery. :D this week shall be eating week.

juz now went to my grandma hse, she ask me tmr got school anot. i was like "huh? today wat day?" she told me "sunday la, 'gong sun'" <--- translated as its sunday, dumb grandson. lol. then i was like "oh. then tmr sch reopen le"

so fast... haiz... well. at least im done wif IM report. yay! back to sch means go and eat eat eat!

i watched Discovery Travel and living ytd... the program on was food paradise... they show the best buffets in america... wth can... after watching that show, i ordered mac delivery... at like 1:30am... mcnugget meal plus double cheeseburger... thats my late night comfort food... haha.. ate that while watching zohan on dvd..

now im so craving for buffet.... seafood buffet especially... best if got king alaska crab legs... *drool*

happy xmas to all except for pjj

all i wanted for xmas was for santa to shoot me so that i dun have to face the dreadful projects that is due like next week.... he didnt do it... im disappointed in u santa... i shall stop believing in christmas.

anyways, 2 days ago, we had a potluck cum present exchange xmas party at dorin's house. my dear sis lent me her car and im so grateful. or else have to take bus dam sian... all the way to tampines.

woke up at 10am that day. started cooking right after i washed up.
i cooked: 1) tiger prawns with garlic cream sauce.
2) aglio olio pasta (for those who dun eat cream pasta)
3) cabonara (which i cook at dorin's hse)

after cooking and bathing, went to fetch siqi and yt and drove to siqi bro there to take her bak kut teh. then we went to J8 cos siqi haven buy present... wth rite... but J8 and the carpark beside it all full so we parked quite a walk away.

met up wif simi and started shopping for siqi present and some drinks for our potluck. then sarah turned up. then we went to fetch cindy on the way and headed for dorin's house.

heres wat everyone cooked:

Yt: ngoh hiang
Xingwei: beehoon; jelly
sarah: spring chicken
simi: sheperd's pie
cindy: wasabi nugget which she tot was normal nugget and fries
daryl: fondue set and loads of fruits
siqi: bkt
me: pasta and prawns
yuanlin: canned longan, lychee and cocktail (but she arrive late so everyone full le)
dorin: provided us with her house which we messed up


had a good time that day. but now, have to chiong projects alr... haiz...

someone pls refresh my memory, wats the definition of holiday again?

its definitely not wat i'm having rite now.

got 2 report due the first week when sch reopens, and i've only done the cover page for one. and wrote "Burger King is" in the report.

great. now i have a cover page and 3 words.... time to do some serious fingers to keyboard action. and i do not mean networking on msn. haha

its 3am and i'm still awake. juz now went to watch Twilight with daryl yt dorin and sq. not bad show. i tink its quite nice. though the male main lead looks abit like michael jackson (white version) when i first saw him. lol... square jaws, very white, intense eyebrows and red red lips. not to mention the hurricane hairstyle...

oh well, i tink this show is worth 4 out of 5 stars. looking forward to the next movie. i shld go to sleep now.

napfa test

haiz.... its been 3 years...

3 long years.... since i did napfa... first time just got back from germany and working. so nv go. then after that recently the make-up rs bday so nv go also.

so today, all the remaining ones have to take... me, simi, siok, siqi, dorin, yuanlin, cindy all went. i'm the only guy left in class that haven do napfa loh...

1st station: Standing Board Jump --------> 245cm {A}
2nd station: Shuttle Run -----------------> 10.2s {A}
3rd station: Sit And Reach ---------------> 41cm {C} (last time i did 52cm de lor.haiz.. old liao)
4th station: Sit-up -----------------------> "48" {A} (figure out why i put "" by urself)
5th station: The DREADFUL Pull-up -----> 3 {E} (KNNNN. i did 3. omg lor. miracle alr can)

2.4km run: After 1st lap --> 2:12 mins. so i gave up. run half a round and caught up wif siok and dorin. walked wif them. my 4th lap. their 3rd lap. we told them we give up. lol.

so overall i got napfa grade of...............................

wah.... this coming wednesday smk ica... then thursday hand up entrep project. have to do a rough website loh... my bobo entrep teacher say he wan it in the report... wth.. he doesnt seem to be very much reliable lol... but tats juz wat i tink..

kinda girly cos its for mothers. lol. they after give birth can come our resort and stay wif their baby to tiao yang back their health.

today work 10am-10pm. tmr work 1-10pm. monday work 10am-10pm.

its always liek this before the two week hols. then after the two weeks hols, presentations, projects then final exams then grad le.

oh ya. speaking of ns. bloody hell. when taking blood sample, other ppl take like 2 test-tube sized samples. i took 5! bloody five tubes of my blood.

had to sign somthing before taking blood lol... after taking i feel sleepy and my arm no strength sia. for now i'm in pes D.

end up Pes D is pending see go which pes. so might still go Pes A or B. haiz....

after counting, i only start my working life at ard 26 or 27 yrs old.. if i make it into uni tat is.

the consequence of a glutton

haiz.. go work. eat eat eat... drink so many milkshake and ice cream....

went to doctor on monday... got gastric flu again knn. lol... the super-duper-yummy-bestintheworld milkshake got me into this... just like that time in shenton way when i was addicted to the teh-cino. lol....

i guess dairy products doesn't go with me... sad.

moral of the story. dun eat 5 scoops of ice cream in one day even if its free.

on another note, now tat i'm better and my sis juz got back from nanjing (nanking), she got me this present. and i must say. no one noes me better than my family. lol... they noe how to get the best presents for me. :D

cos... when i work, i eat more than usual. take today for example...

breakfast, went to the bakery in marketplace, bought chicken parmesan bread, milky toast (butter and sugar) and 3 small breads. then went to orange julius and bought a chicken sausage. elaine cant finish the sushi so i helped her wif 3 sushis.

lunch, My Mum's Cuisine's scallop and crab fried rice. i tink its not tat nice considering it costs $15 for tat fried rice.... and a new zealand's natural thick shake. 3 scoops of hokey pokey and a little milk! voted best milkshake in the world by Summer. lol... but she ordered with skim milk. which sucks. (duh, low fat)

ytd, breakast was orange julius hotdog w/ bun and their orange juice.

lunch, my mum's cuisine's ipoh horfun $9.80, two sticks of tori Qs, new zealand's natural thickshake. and gelato ice cream before tat, bon bon rocher and baileys. mmmmmm.....

dinner for ytd, din tai fung's xiao cai, xiao long bao and sushi.

i love to work. lol.

sigh... so it starts... the season to be jolly all over again. started working today since have to save up for grad trip :D

today went to work. but they forgot to bring the chair! so had to stand from like 10am til 5pm... lunch dam pathetic. had to eat 3 breads cos no chair to sit and eat. wth loh....

i miss sch...

oh well... earned $72 today! ahh.. shall feast when i get my pay.

today went to sch earlier to do entrep proj. but bus 72 went pass my busstop without stopping. everyone at the busstop was like the head from right all go to left at the same time. haha...

and, today is a fine day. so i decided to walk to sch (yes, its the second time pjj is walking to sch). took me 10 mins... wasnt tat bad though. but i still tink spend the 71 cents more worth it.

yl told us to be punctual but arrived 10 mins late. the table i was sitting at was slowly occupied by Ms... wth loh... irritating loud ppl... the macdonald's long long table also can fill up by one whole bunch of ppl...

anyways, when they reach i went to buy hotcake wif sausage meal as usual. the typical mac breakfast for me. for lunch i tink it would be usually nuggets or mac wings meal. plus a double cheeseburger hehe.

then after school (nothing exciting abt classes...) went to orchard eat din tai fung. walk abit then go home le. haha. nth very bad or very good happened today.

tmr is a special day for pjj.

it marks the start of the third decade of eating for pjj.

wat have i been doing this past 20 years?

most of wat i can recall is mainly food... my family... food i ate wif my family... frens.... food i ate wif my frens...

up till today... i've been going out to eat since last thursday... lets recall wat i've eaten...

Before that, i decided to rate the food wif a tongue face --> :P
The food are all rated out of 5 :P and according to my food preference. those with only : means is half. haha.

Last thursday: Bedok eat supper. (Muslim western food) (Approx $13) :P :P :P

Last friday: Holland v. Eat crystal jade's zha jiang dao xiao mian (spicy minced meat knife shaved noodles) :P :P :P :P and cold rocks' ice cream (Approx $28) :P :P :P :P :

Last saturday: Jalan kayu eat prata bomb and nasi goreng ayam (Approx $10) :P :P :

Last sunday: Cheeky Chocolate at upper thomson. Had chocolate banana crepe, chocolate lava cake and a savoury crepe (Approx $14) :P :P :P :

Monday: Went to bowl and ate sambal fried rice (Approx $10) :P :P :P :

Tuesday: Lao Beijing eat dim sum buffet (not nice at all. dun go) (Approx $13) :P

Wednesday: Dempsey Hill's P.S Cafe. Had P.S. Burger and shared the double chocolate blackout cake and some choux wif ice cream and chocolate sauce. (Approx $50) :P :P :P :

Thursday: Went Club 21 warehouse sales at 10am before school and had breakfast at marina square's foodcourt (:P :P :) and Andersen's ice cream (:P :P :P :P :P). (Approx $13) Bought a puma shoe at $30. super cheap can? Had invitation to dinner by Caesar's Palace Las Vegas at Marina Oriental. (I guess is around $80++?) :P :P :P <--- only liked shark's fin haha

Friday: Went to yishun and had laksa (:P :P :P :P :), popiah (:) and red ruby (:P :P :P :P). (Exactly $5.90)

And finally, today....

1pm: Meet for lunch at Mount Emily's Wild Rocket.
Had 3 course set lunch --> Fried Cod Cake with sweet chilli sauce :P :P :P :P
--> Spagghetti with Tiger Prawns in sze chuan chilli sauce :P :P
--> Black glutinous rice with Coconut ice cream :P :P :
(Approx $32)

After that, we went walk walk.. then walk walk walk to paragon at around 3.45pm we had tea time in Cova, an Italian Pastries Confectioner (looks quite posh). Treated daryl, siqi, yan tao and dorin. We had an imperial set (4 tarts and 3 mini cakes), and a coffee/tea (use silver teapot sia) each. The tart is sooo nice! (Approx $60+) :P :P :P :P

After finish having high tea at around 4+, we walk walk again and we went to far east. I told them i still hungry so we walk so long then finally just sit down and eat chicken rice (my bad for being so fussy haha. but its my bday! hahahaha) the far east chicken rice CMI (approx $6) :P

after finish eating, daryl went to meet his frens so we headed for home. but halfway walking to somerset, nose bleed. lol. so go ck tang the toilet grab toilet paper cos no one had tissue. haiz... stupid nose.

well. this concludes my past 10 days. wahah. man im getting poorer... gotta work soon. haha

maybe tmr celebrate bday with family go out eat again. but this time no need to pay YAY!

imagine a red dove. macham the dove the big auntie come then couldnt find the Paseo tissue in time to wipe (stupid advert long long time ago) hahahahah

blue viper? i tink the viper swallow own saliva and kena poison loh

grey porsche. still not as bad but distasteful choice of colour for a car.

if its me, i'll choose yellow homer (wohoo!)

juz nice. my ipp pay get on monday when sch reopens. but after 6pm then will debit into my account. oh well.... still $KACHING$!

News update:

pjj only gained 2kg since he got back from germany.

plus the 6kg from germany....

pjj's bmi is now at.... 22.6

according to the Wii Fit that my mom bought... BMI 22 is the most ideal point.

i use the wii fit thingy to calculate my bmi is 21.94. so im quite ideal le.

pjj has got an ideal physique :)

ahh... four more days... finally going back to nyp... after almost 9 months... first thing im going do when i get back is go to school earlier and eat hotcake.

wahahaha. it has been ages since i had hotcakes.... also almost 9 months plus.... haiz...

got nth to do today and my sis is still sleeping so i cant use the desktop in my room...

on friday, after eating at newton wif yt, on the way home, we were toking abt where got the best food. like for me, the best chicken rice is at balastier road's Boon Tong Kee.

so i decided to walk down memory lane and review the best things ard the world tat i like.

starting from the nearest to the furthest.

Malaysia:

-Genting: one of the first rollercoaster that i sat on. the weather was not bad too. but now genting really boring. cant tink of anything there tats nice anymore..

-JB: I like their supermarket there becos it has ALL the junk food tat i like at cheap cheap price and the cheap dvds and vcds haha.

Thailand:

-Bangkok: Definitely the dee kar rice (pig trotter rice)
Sticky rice wif mango
Everything tats priced at 199 baht. haha

-Phuket: the kayaking experience to the bat cave where u have to lie down in order to enter the cave cos the entrance is really small.

China:

-Macau: The best hotel i've ever stayed in. Sands hotel. the family suite got a living room, ktv room, 3 bathroom wif big jacuzzi, toilet seat warmer w/ asshole cleaner (hahhahah) and a 24hrs butler. u call for roomservice they come and prepare the meal on the dining room table.

-Guangzhou: The best warm milk tea wif pearl ever. (haven been to taiwan so dunno if taiwan better anot)

-Beijing: Great wall is not tat great when i went. cos its really tiring... but i like their steam sweet potato & corn at the roadside. their cabbage also quite nice surprisingly. haha

-Dalian: Nothing much there except for seafood which we didnt get to eat much.

-Harbin a.k.a Har-er-bin: the ice sculpted slide!! super fun hahaha. and the ice sculptures were amazing too wif the lightings. saw wrinkled and dry old man swimming in a pool of freezing water during winter.

-Zhuhai: The uber cheap dvds there. lol. one piece only like SGD$0.40????

South Korea:

-Seoul: KOREAN BBQ! the best best best bbq EVER.

-???: Another city where we stayed in a skii resort and had my first snow skiing experience.

Japan:

-Tokyo: Disneyland (cos i was still small and i loooove the bloody chipmunks and donald duck) haha. was too small to rmb much... had ramen i tink... went to mt fuji...

-Harajuku: Saw a lot of cosplay people which was scary at that time cos they all got weird expressions.

-Kyoto/Osaka/Tokyo?: Went to this temple where it snowed. first snow experience

Australia:

-Surfers' Paradise, Gold Coast: Movie world, Sea world, Dream world. super duper fun themeparks.

-Cairns: went snorkelling at the great barrier reef. really clear water where u can touch the corals. couldnt scuba dive cos i was below 12 yrs old..... :( they went white water rafting too... haiz....

-Perth: Quite a boring place. went to the market and walk walk and nth much. lol....

-Melbourne: 2nd best hotel i've stayed in. Crown Casino Hotel. the hotel has everything, arcade, casino, shopping arcade wif AX, LV, Jag and etc.

-Brisbane: Went for farm stay which has the BEST freshly toasted bread with honey and butter and the BEST billy tea where u swing the teapot round and round dunno for wat. lol... the farm stay was really fun and diff from other vacations.

-Sydney: Went there for 1-2 days and came upon this street where its the red light district. couldnt go in also becos too small. haha

New Zealand:

-Went up a hill for a cave climbing trip. was really rough... but after that, we had a home cooked meal tat the family of the cave climbing business. they make the BEST apple cinnamon cake! also went to Rotorua to visit some tribe where there's hot steam coming out from ground.

Europe: (the food in europe is not my fav at all)

-Germany: Has the most not-so-disgusting beer i've ever drank cos beer really sucks. haha. the food there i didnt really liked it except for one of the bratwurst or wurstchen forgot which one.
really liked it when it snowed and we had to wrap ourselves up like bar zhang.
the factory outlet town in metzingen and wertheim village was also not bad but i wasnt tat rich lol.

-Italy:

Rome: The ruins was absolutely amazing. destroy til so nice. maybe shld try and destroy shenton way and make it look nicer too. haha. but the 40 degrees day that almost roasted us wasnt tat fun to walk in. lol

Milan: Happy hour from five to eight. buy a drink and get free buffet! haha. food wasnt tat good but its a good deal. had fun walking ard the town wif my sis fren melissa and she showed us around

Venice: The St Mark's square was really magnificent... hated the pigeons shit all over the floor though..

Prague: Tw had baked bunny for lunch. lol... but i simply love the dai dee sessions we had. whenever we see a grass patch and our legs are tired. we sit and play dai dee. haha

Barcelona: the shopping was not bad and the weather was great. sunny wif strong wind. the port that we went to was really really really good for sun tan.

Holland: The sortof countryside stay wif sj's aunt was really diff and nice... great relaxing place...
Amsterdam: Eye-opening window shopping (for hookers) and the Dungeon was fun too. not scary one loh... although at first quite scary cos of the atmosphere. haha

who knew blogging can waste so much time?

timing super good. my sis woke up while i was typing this sentence! wohoo!! can watch hitman reborn and play dota liao hehe

after the trip to ntuc ytd, tonite i went as planned and cooked myself a japanese meal. wanted to cook for my sis but one go find bf one go bangkok wif mom and dad... so pang seh loh...





so heres wat i cooked for myself:

starting clockwise

1) Rice wif tamago and crab meat

2) Half dozen scallop baked with anoki

3) Fried chicken

4) Juicy sushi (bet u cant say it 10 times without saying jushi shushi) haha. got 3/4 inch of tamago as base, crab meat stick, scallop mayo and ebi roe. best sushi i've eaten. cos got all my fav haha

5) King prawn mentai! (tried to copy the jap restaurant kind and ended up 85% alike) not bad liao le... haha

this concludes my "NIPPON! Set Dinner for 1". lol

freaking bloated and im juz going to stone right after this....

anyways... they had this dinner in seletar club then got lucky draw. and guess wat?



i got $50 NTUC voucher!!!! WOHOO!!! pardon me for being auntie but can u imagine how happy a boy like me can be if u have $50 to buy all the snacks and junks u wan?



and so... today i set off on a journey wif yt to NTUC and later meet up wif siqi and all had dinner tgt...



at first i tot $50 might be juz nice... but then... haiz... wanted to cook jap meal tmr nite for myself so kinda spent like 70+ lol... on juz tidbits...

got my ipp allowance like a week back. saved 250 and took out 450 to spend. 180 on Wii. the rest i only left like $90 now... haizzz.... after got pay, went to ichiban sushi eat wif yt at amk hub. we two eat alr $50. then next next day or smth, went crystal jade in bishan eat... $50+ again.. then two days ago we went Sushi Tei eat.

wat we ate:

1) tamago sushi

2) ebi mentai sushi

3) cold udon (my carbo to keep from from ordering more)

4) soft shell crab

5) fried chicken

6) baked mayo miso scallop (big and juicy, ahh....)

7) teapot soup (gimmick dish. soup in a teapot. pour into a tiny little cup and drink)

saturdays nv felt this good before.... after a week of work, finally got to rest today...

woke up by my mom this morning to go market eat breakfast at 10+, so i woke up and bathed...

after tat, my second sis woke up then have to "doll-up" as usual cos she going out after that.. waited til 11+

when we're ready to go, my mom's fren asked us out for lunch. but she steaming huat gou. then we waited til 12+... can u imagine how hungry i was....

then she came and picked us up with his son then we went to dempsy for jap food. very nice food there but quite exp

after that, went shaw's isetan walk walk... then went to paragon cos my mom's other fren is there. so we went to meet him and his wife, went to Cova cafe or something for tea... 5 small little tarts tat's bite-sized plus a drink costs 20+...

after that we went back to isetan to buy the swiss roll at the basement of shaw. then it came to ard 7pm.. time to go home but went to my mom's fren house instead cos she said she cooked abalone and sea cucumber.

EVERYONE should, ought to, must really really watch Skins. its a UK drama series depicting lives of a bunch of UK teens mainly 17 yrs old. makes u laugh and cry sia.. the writer of this show is dam sadist... keep killing or destroying the characters... keep f***ing up their lives... lol.. but it shows wat real life is like and not everything is lollipops and fluffy cotton candies in teenage lives...

finished watching season 2 and awaiting for season 3... but they said they're only keeping the main character's sister. the rest of the cast are being AXED! wth loh... but then at least my favourite character stayed. Toni's sister. haha. coolest of them all. emotionless yet shows everything and always gets and knows wat she wans. shes a model and a rather good actress i tink considering shes only 16.

went to daryl's house last friday and had potluck. after tat played few rounds of mj... then stay over wif xingwei and dorin til next morning cos too late take cab exp.. lol.. then go home sleep awhile meet yt and rs go cityhall marina square and suntec walk walk...

my satisfaction in changing appetite has dropped... the food isnt as nice anymore... well, at least the steak sucks in my opinion...

theres dorin and yuanlin at the corner toking abt some auntie things for sure... then zhenhao using hp like business very big like tat.. lol... he bought 30 curry puff.. wth.. we sure couldnt finish it. left 12...

yuanlin cooked potato and minced pork, dorin fried some seaweed chicken, siqi brought her dad's bah kut teh, yt cooked chilli prawn and brought some fried chix wings, rs did some baked macaroni wif cheese, xingwei bought gogofrank's cheese sausage and i did some dessert.. daryl provided his house and his ribena.

Back in singapore! - all about food

finally back in sg.... ahh.... muahaha.... sg food, beware!

my dear sis (have to say this cos if not no ride back home hehe) came and fetch me home. went to eat mee goreng and prata before going home.

then the next day, my dear sis (if not no breakfast) bought duck rice and kway chap and jwee kueh for me for breakfast. ahh... nice.... then after tat, met up wif rs, yt, daryl, dorin, siok, sarah, germaine and simi for lunch/dinner. CHICKEN RICE!!! woohooo! ate quite alot.. cos daryl say he treat me muahaha

the next day, went to orchard road. first rs, yt and i went to lucky plaza eat the fried ayam wif rice. nice! apparently is quite famous. after tat walk walk walk. then dorin who overslept came. then after awhile she hungry. so we went to mos burger. i bought the butterfly shrimps... another thing i miss....
Dinner!!! after every meal i just cant wait for it to digest... we went to marina square just to eat dian xiao er. roast duck!~ ahh....

Sunday! family day! went to eat dim sum in the morning. then went to my grandma place then eat dinner. home cooked food.. fish head curry, fried eggs... mmm.... grandma never disappoints :D

Monday! woke up. eat instant noodle wif prawn and hotdog and fried fish&chip and fried eggs. then went back to sleep til its abt time to meet yt, daryl and rs and siqi for lunch. haha. wanted to go to eat bah kut teh but siqi the shop close. haiz... so, off to amk hub! went to the basement the hk cafe eat fried rice wif some dishes... wasnt really full.. so went to bengawang solo buy some kueh to eat. then went prima deli buy waffle to eat.. then at night went to tiong bahru wif family eat fish head steamboat. and had COLD CRAB. soooooooooooooooooooooooooo niceeeeeeeeeeeeee...

with so much things to eat.... today, tuesday had a simple breakfast. one egg tart. then went to amk central wif mom and sis to eat mushroom and chicken noodle. carrot cake and gado gado. then went home and slack and its dinner time!

CHICKEN RICE, I'm coming back to eat u!!! 5 more days!!! at sarah's aunt's house now in Veere, Middelburg, Holland. Beautiful countryside.. went to rome just a few days ago and it was freaking hot.... 41 degrees! omg... hot til we all like walking kebap. one of the nicest european cities ever.

prague, czech republic

our 6th day of backpacking eurotrip. went to munich 5 days ago. we caught the euro 08 finals in Germany!!! germany vs spain! bought a germany flag but they didnt win.. maybe becos i nv wave it around. but Spain won! which is good too. cos nicholas treated us to COCA-COLA! my fave... mmm....

after munich, rebecca went to london find her friend and the 5 of us came to Prague, Czech Republic. the first day here, "wow.. we have to cover this and that and that. second day here, "ok. lets cover this and that. oh no.... then tmr do wat?". third day, "hmm... we got nth else to do here.... and got not much money left... let's go to the park and play cards." lol. so we went to park play cards, walk abit, eat, go park, rained, took shelter in train station for awhile, then go to kfc here and blog.

5 more hours and we depart for Vienna on a overnight train. camping here in kfc til it closes.

BERLIN BERLIN!

We were supposed to meet 6.55am at the bus stop 20 mins away from our house. And I set alarm for 5.15am. so I had time to pack my bag for the trip. Apparently, the previous night were juz got back from Barcelona, so I was super tired. So I kinda went back to sleep after the alarm rang. Next thing I heard, knockings on my door. Took me a few seconds to jump up from my bed and it was alr 6.20am.

OMG! 35 mins to pack and go to the bus stop. And wif Rebecca! OMG OMG! Brushed my teeth, shoved things into my bag, sarah jane helping me pack my chargers too. Chionged out of the house but forgot to bring passport… damnnn….. ran back to get it and was extremely tired. The whole trip from Barcelona to Berlin and back to Bad mergentheim yesterday was juz tired tired tired. The class excursion trip to Berlin was fun but tiring. We went to the Berlin wall, the Jewish holocaust memorial, BMW motorcycle plant (the only BMW plant that manufactures motorcycles). Went to a club called the Matrix and partied wif our classmates and walked back to our hostel at 4.30am… was so dead I could juz lie down on the street and close my eyes.

Next morning, went to the Prussia Palace where Frederick the Great I, II or III lived. Dunno which one. I mean who the hell juz adds I to their own name and give it to their son. Its like if I have a son and I call him JJ I. sounds like some star wars robot loh.. anyway, we have to wear some heavy bathroom kinda slippers over our own shoes and walk ard in the palace so we dun damage the floors. Wth.. apparently, the tour guide said the pplin the 18th century doesn’t bath with water cos they tink tat water will enter their pores. So they juz put powder. And they got fleas all the time. Yucks…. The palace was quite nice inside and it has this marble room where everything was made of marble. The room was so heavy that it was closed for viewing and we couldn’t enter becos it was unsafe.

Finally, we left Berlin and had a bus ride back to Bad mergentheim. Slept all the way back. Ahhh… still recovering from the tiredness..

Today is Sunday, June 15, 2008. going to have a BBQ later on by the river. In germany, when u have nth to do, u can always call a few people and have a picnic or bbq. Such a great kind of life… stress-free.. that is until International Accounting and Finance tmr… haiz…

VISCA BARCELONA!

After typing the agonizing report writing for change management, it was full steam ahead to BARCELONA! Again, we went to Frankfurt budget terminal and took Ryanair to Girona Airport and took an hour bus to Barcelona city centre.

We managed to take the Metro (mrt) and walked to our hostel. The hostel was surprisingly nice and clean and breakfast was included. Then we went window shopping at a nearby shopping mall. We decided not to buy anything and go back again on Sunday. But who noes… on Sunday, we went to the shopping mall and it was still closed at 10am. So we went to the playground. Rebecca went onto a net-like swing and tried to stop the swing and *crack* fractured her ankle. Nice one reb… haha. At first tot is sprain so juz let her walk ard for awhile.

Mainly in Barcelona, it was juz shopping and some sight seeing. After tat, 1am in the morning, we set off as the 3 of us guys, took turns to piggy back Rebecca and walked like 2-4 Metro stops. We were all super tired. By 3.30am, we finally reached the bus station and took the bus back to the airport.

Mannheim

With nothing to do that weekend, we set off on a journey to the town far far away, Mannheim. Ok I’m exaggerating…. Its juz 2-3 hours away… we didn’t even noe wat to do there til we got there. But as soon as we got there and walked abit, we heard loud music and saw a carnival! Although we didn’t noe wat the carnival was for. But I guess its probably some brazilian carnival.

We arrived at some rock ‘n’ roll band singing elvis era songs. Then they sang Bubbly in a rock ‘n’ roll tune and bleeding love too. Its cool that they made the song their own and it was pretty nice.

So we walked further down and there was a whole stretch of pasar malam thingy with all the foods and beers and stuff. Then we got our air-brush tattoo. Haha. I tink mine is the nicest. Yea. Definitely. Hahhahaha. Cos its on my neck. My nice neck. Lol


After tat we walked to the other end of the carnival and there was another live band performing. This time, its 3 young singers. They take turns to sing a song and the other 2 will be background singers. There was ricky martin’s vida la loca or something, amy winehouse’s rehab, rihanna’s umbrella and a few others.

After everything, we went back to our town and rested.

On Sunday there was a regional festival in our town but there was nth much. Bought gummy colas. Ate ice cream as usual. Went back and rest.

Picnic + Frisbee + Playground

went to the park nearby and had a picnic wif rose, katka, mehdi, florent, josh and the other 5 of us. for us, we made chicken mayo and egg mayo, topped with bawang goreng from IKEA. haha. it was super nice.. we used our blanket cover to use as a picnic mat since our "hotel" alr provide us with bedsheet and covers. after eating this and that, we played frisbee.

even though the frisbee flew into the pond a couple of times, and there were flies mating here and there and everywhere, it was fun. after that, the french guys left, followed by rose and katka, so the 6 of us and josh went to the playground. SWINGS! man... singapore hardly have any swings left.... its always mood-lifting to play on a swing. at the playground, there is this big net-like swing where 4 ppl can sit. tat was awesome! feels like a mini viking ship in theme parks. and that was all for that day.

Milan & Venice

from our town, we took a 5 hours train/bus ride to the frankfurt hahn which is a budget terminal. then we took a 50 mins flight to Milano Bergamo Airport. after boarding the plane, some technicians came up the plane and fix some panel that was loose.... how comforting to fly wif ryanair..

after we landed, some weird sound effect came out and said "RYANAIR, the on-time airline, last year, over 90% of our flights were on time!" when i heard it i was like "wtf?" cos the sound effect was really amusing...

took a bus to Milano centrale and i took a train to my sister's friend, Melissa's place to stay. the rest of them stayed in a hostel. thank god i stayed wif melissa! i heard the hostel was like shit. Melissa has a cat called koocholini or something. The cat likes to jump here and there like spiderman.

Milan didnt really have anything much except for expensive shops like Armani, Gucci, D&G and everything else.. we juz walked abit, rest abit, walk and rest.. but the buildings there all very unique, all got stone carvings on it.

at night we went to a bar and had buffet. melissa said that everyday, 5-9:30pm is happy hour. order one drink which cost 8 euros, and have a buffet. quite a good deal i must say. After that, we walked around and went back to the apartment.




Next day, Venice, pigeon heaven. we were headed for St. Marco square, the main tourist attraction. it took us 3 hrs before we got there. we went into almost every tourist shops to see and buy things haha. typical singaporeans.

And so, we finally reached the Rialto Bridge which leads to the St. Marco square. The square is FULL OF PIGEONS. After walking around here and there ard the square, taking some pictures here and there, I looked under my slipper and well well…….. what’s there? BIRD SHIT. All our soles have bird shit on it. But the view there was majestic.

Then we headed back to melissa’s apartment and talked through the night till its time for our flight.

Go-kart

a few weeks back, we went go-karting wif some germans from another class. it was super fun! beats the one i played in Escape Theme Park before. lol. i got 3rd position for the best timing out of 8. so its not too bad. nth much happened actually. juz fun while playing it. one post down. alot more to go.

CYCLING

Dating back to last Thursday or Friday… on 9th May (sorry my post all jump here jump there cos I dunno which came first.. haha)

We rented bicycles on Thursday. and my cycling skill is really bad and I admit it. So only me, Sarah and Rebecca rented the bikes because we stay quite far from sch and at that time, the rest of them (tw, Nicholas and gq) was still crashing at Chris’ place and they were near the sch. So, after meeting up with them, they wanted to ride the bike too. So. 3 bicycles, 3 guys and 3 girls. What to do? They said that one guy shld carry on girl at the back. But it wasn’t a good idea since I suck at it.
So we decided. Tw ride the bicycle and I was behind him. Then Sarah and Rebecca took one bike. But it didn’t turn out well becos my butt super hurts after awhile of sitting at the back.

So, I rode the bike and Rebecca sat behind me (yes, she has such a brave soul). So here we go. After ard 5-10 mins of Rebecca shouting at me, we took a rest. After that, here comes a new challenger, Sarah Jane. It was her turn for the not-so-safe-but-free roller coaster ride behind me.

We went to a field of Raps (some kind of flower that can be made into cooking oil) and took some photos. Then we headed back.

To cut things short, I crashed into a tree after avoiding a bush. Wait, let me rephrase it. The stupid tree crashed into my bike even the kind-hearted me tried my best not to hit that innocent bush, that dim-witted tree came crashing into me… We heard a couple of laughter and a car honked at me which I guess they were mocking me too. Oh well… Don’t worry. I’m not injured. Haha… the bike was though… a small part of the sponge on the handle kinda ripped off.

Nothing much happened after that. The day just had 3 people with near-death experiences.

He said “I don’t feel comfortable because I can’t see you (me, jj)” because where I’m sitting, a pillar is blocking me from him. So today, he moved his proffy speaking table thingymagic and now he has direct sight of me. AGAIN. Internet is down… so I’m blogging in Microsoft words rite now. So I can juz copy paste inside. Ahhaha…

And as internet is blocked during lessons and the unsecured network is down, I fell deep asleep… now he’s toking abt wat “Luddites” is. WTFASDIEJFKLDLWEJD! WHO cares! He talked abt a slide for 1 and a half hours ytd and I managed to stay awake (with the help of Maoam sweets, caramel choco chews, Tofiffee, chewing gums, some sweets from David and last but not least, INTERNET).

Sarah jane is beside me throwing pieces of paper to anne and passing notes to Nicole… its like a war of paper messages… im juz here sitting down, wif my table of sweet wrappers and a sore jaw from eating chewing gums.. spacing out… in my own World of JJ. Haha. Yup. Like the one in Bishan last time. And yes, I still rmb wat is bishan amk and nyp all tat. Haiz… I so so so so so so so miss nyp classes where I can juz sleep without caring abt the feelings of the proffies…

Ich habe keinen Bock!!! Tats a phrase tat anne and jasmin taught sarah jane and she taught me. It means I have no interest whatsoever… Tonight we’re going to try mee hoon kueh again. Haha. This time, we will make lesser unlike the previous time where we almost exploded eating tat.

I managed to stay awake for 31 mins now…since the break.. still surviving… its amazing that in germany, the students are soooo participative. When the teacher say “wat do u tink” in Singapore, we will juz ignore the teacher and continue toking among ourselves. But here, people raises their hands and voice their opinions. And I mean OPINIONS. Some juz wun stop til they get their points thru or until everyone agrees wif him…

Someone please throw a rock from Singapore and kill me… anytime during weekdays from 9am-4.30pm Germany time. Or 3pm-10.30pm Singapore time. But dun throw from 6pm-7pm Singapore time becos I will be eating lunch.

I can juz keep going on and on and on…. Cos the class is soooooooooo boring….

Oh ya, we went for a BBQ yesterday after class by a lake ard 15km away from my town. BY A FREAKING LAKE! Ok. Maybe an oversized pond more than a lake. But the bbq was nice. The weather was nice… so nice til the mosquitoes u have to count in dozens. But everything was fun…

Alright…. Time to go back to sleep or something…

New apartment

New apartment is so nice…. One person to a room is so nice… I mess I clean. I no mess I no clean. :) and dinners was awesome so far. We had chicken rice (Prima Taste, thnx mom!), fried rice, prawn noodle maggi, aglio olio spaghetti with honey baked chicken wings

Went to Heidelberg last last weekend with Dustin as our guide. He came to NYP for exchange program before and Heidelberg is his hometown. We went to this castle where the Germans and the French fought. Nice view from the top of the castle and we went shopping in the main street after that. Only bought chocolates and a glass boot. Interesting mug….

my new haircut! haha

cool rite

super cool rite!

haha. when she shaved it was dam pain. it was like sylar cutting my skull open.. but its worth it. altho i didnt had any say in it. after paying for a normal haircut, sarah jane was like "hey, why dun u go do some design on ur hair?"

me: "Hmm... i dun mind.."

Hairstylist: "So, how do u wan it?"

me: "Erm.."

Sarah: "Anything"

Hairstylist: "Big or small?"

me: "Erm.."

Sarah: "BIG" <----- not her hair of cos she say tat..

me:"Err..."

as u can see, i didnt had any say in it. all i said was "Erm.." and "Err..." next thing u noe, RIIII-OUNWWWWW hair shaved off at the sides... and it began.. oh well, its quite cool anyway. haha.

new apartment!!

we've finally broke free from the LLCB!!! even though we couldnt get back our half month rent.... but we're all still SOOOOOO happy!!! ytd, when she checked the house, omg... i've never seen someone so ridiculous in my entire 19 going 20 years of life before!

she claims that everything is dirty, even after we've wiped it. she counted every single fork, spoon, knife, plates, cups, mugs, glasses. she'll say "this spoon is from upstairs and a fork is missing from here"

she noe which fork is from where and which plate is which room's! wtf!!! its just so ironic that shes saying everything is dirty and she wans everything even cleaner that how she left it for us when her face is like. . . . . . . . i shall post her photo soon. i took a snapshot of her. so for the next post, do not read if u're weak hearted like me.

when our saviors, theresa, mehdi and florent came with two cars to help us move, they were shocked upon seeing her, "i dun even think u call tat a face", face for the first time. Florent the french guy said after we asked him, "so, wat do u tink of our landlord?"

he replied "Oh, she's beautiful! if i eat in front of her, i'll puke"

haha... after cleaning up the house with her at the side saying this not clean tat not clean for 2 and a half hours, we finally moved!

only 3 of us moved becos the other apartment wif 3 single rooms will only be available today and 2 on monday. So, sarah and rebecca shared the double room and i got the single room. YAY! our rooms are like hotel loh. white bed sheets and towels. every 2 weeks will have ppl come and change our bed sheet! haha. altho its abit exp.. but tats all the international office could find within such a ridiculously short eviction. oh well, the chinese saying goes, po cai xiao zai. that LLCB is really a zai nan lor.

and we finally have internet! at night can use internet alr!! internet access after 7pm is a luxury here in germany sia. lol... took tat for granted.. my room smells like the forest. i open the window and within 30 seconds, buzzzzzzzzz, a fly flew in. wah biang eh.... but its okay, cos i figured opening the window wun get rid of the forest smell becos i open the window, its the forest alr.

Land Lao Char Bor (LLCB) from Hell

As we all know, our landlady (or land lao char bor [LLCB]) is f***ing annoying, First she say that we are messy people and asked if tat was the Singapore culture to be messy. And she tot tat Singapore was supposed to be a clean city.
BUT OUR ROOM IS CLEAN! WE EVEN MADE OUR BED! she complained tat the carpet in the toilet was on the floor. WATS A CARPET FOR IF ITS NOT ON THE FLOOR AND HANGING ON THE BATHTUB?!? and she expects our shoes to all point to one direction. ONE DIRECTION!! WTF??! I DUN TINK THERES SHOE FENGSHUI RITE?!

To get a rough idea of how she looks like. lets imagine Hagird without beard, with 80% rotten teeth, ogre-ish looking and have a slight smell. She was seen wearing the same outift for 3 days. and she say we're messy?!?! look at her face man! tats wats messy.
After saying we're messy, she learnt tat we lived wif our parents and she said that our parents must be crazy to live with us. so once again, a messy looking LLCB saying that we're messy saying tat our parents' are crazy when she herself isnt entirely sane.

After telling her tat we're trying to move out of the house, she says that we're bounded by a legal verbal contract and she expects us to pay 90% of 3 months rent if we were to move out. AS IF WE'RE GOING TO MOVE! we're so going to use all her electricity since she said we used too much electricity. Bullshit...
Also, she demanded to have our passport as security or deposit but 6 of us refused. we told her in her face that theres no way that shes going to have our passport. she even told us tat the professor in our sch told us to hand it to her. If not, shes going to call the police. So, not knowing the german law, we went to sch and searched for our professor. He said he said nth abt asking us to handover the passport and told us NOT TO GIVE IT TO HER. he called his lawyer fren and asked him if we have to pass our passport to her. and guess wat? SHE HAS NO RIGHTS TO COLLECT ANY DEPOSIT anymore if we've moved in.

it was ridiculous in the first place to charge us 5 euros per wash for the use of the washing machine. 5 EUROS!! $10.50 Singapore!!! WTF?! money-faced messy crazy slightly smelling ogre-ish lying b****!

So, today we learnt tat shes going to kick us out tmr and expect us to pay 90% of the remaining rent. we'll see how it goes. its the school and the 6 of us against her alone. come to tink of it, we're very outnumbered... ARGH!

IT Lesson isnt helping this anger... wan to vomit blood alr... but at least IT lessons can use laptop. finally! Alright. have to gear up soon and go battle wif LLCB.

Audi, Merc, some village, night groove 2 at wurzburg & camera sunday

So much to blog abt but im too lazy and im going to make it short. Audi museum is boring. after which we went to a village that a king once lived in. nth much other than towers and fortress.. Tat night was night groove again!! at wurzburg!! Another bar hopping event where we went to and we ended up in a "disco" called Airport from 12am-3am and we went home cos we had to meet at 9am the next morning to go to the Merc Museum. Merc Museum at Stuttgart. is not as boring as audi but still not very interesting...

saturday was drizzling the whole day... anyways, we went to Wertheim Village which is another factory outlet city. there were a whole lot of shops there like Geox, Gant, Tom Tailor, Lacoste, Nike, Fossil, Versace, Bally, Quicksilver, Billabong, Birkenstock and many many more... I bought Fossil sunglasses for only 6.50 euros after tax refund and a tshirt for only 6 euros! after all that, we missed the bus tat we were supposed to take and we had to share a cab back to the train station...

After days of activities, sunday was rest-day for us. i woke up at 12 plus. after cleaning up the whole bloody house cos the schlampe-y (bitchy) landlord said she was supposed to come at the end of the week which she nv did... oh well. we're surprised cos that stingy landlord was supposed to come and collect the rent. after cleaning up the whole house, we went to eat ice cream and tat smartass sj say the weather is so fine that we can wear shorts out. and some of us did. our legs were freezing cold when we sat down and eat ice cream cos the wind was so strong at the alley. ice cream eat finish alr then we walk ard the town and take pictures. so, we went to the playground, the train tracks and the underpass. After we are done taing photos on the train track, the train track went "Ding Ding Ding!" Just in time. we finished before the next train came. it was juz photos photos photos tat day.
dinner was at the pizzeria next to the train station which was DELICIOUS! the pizza crust so thin, the mushrooms so juicy... the hawaiian pizza was also great... coupled it with coke and its heaven on earth. it was the second time we're going but this time it was a different person who served us. so again they tot we were from japan or korea and we started conversing for awhile. after paying, he treat us to a shot each. they'reall so friendly over here. cant stand it. ahaha. unlike singapore. but i still miss singapore chicken rice!!! argh....
Wok Wang (a chinese restaurant in my town) juz cant fill this void in my stomach... the things there are germanese (german+chinese). haha. its juz weird but still chinese-ish and theres rice rice rice! haha.

I dozed off again today at Organisation class... sitting front row somemore... haiz... everytime i look up the teacher will be like "jj, so wats ur opinion on tat?" then i will be like "schiesse... work brain work!... com'on!" but i answered 4 out of 5 of his questions.so not bad for a sleeping person.

Macroecons?!?!?

Man.... macroecons all over again.... so many many many many many graphs.... i'm sitting at the front row and still falling asleep... i've tried my best to keep awake but he forced me and serenade me to sleep... all i hear is C....Y... I.... G.... and he keeps going on and on and on and on... AND THERES A MOUSE IN MY APARTMENT! and a giantic housefly the size of half of a thumb on nicholas's blanket. tonight we shall catch the mouse. DIE MICKEY DIE! or Jerry or watever... idiot mouse.

Tmr is excursion to Audi followed by Merc Museum in Stuttgart on friday.. finally no sch! altho macroecons continues next monday.... The class starts at 9am, break at 10.30am-10.45am. then 10.45am-12.15pm starts again. 12.12pm-1.15pm is lunch. then from 1.15 pm-2.45pm start again then break for another 15 minutes then 3pm-4.30pm AGAIN! and its all macroecons! altho after finishing the module in like 1-2 weeks can forget it... but then its so dam boring....

I miss chicken rice, bah kut teh(we had it last night thanks to fang shuai and the rest's contribution to us before going back to Singapore), char kway teow, bah chor mee, duck rice... etc etc...

Last weekend, we went to Metzingen or Metzigen which is a factory outlet city. the whole town is full of brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Marc O' Polo, Nike, Adidas, Puma, Oakley, Quiksilver, Hugo Boss (SUPER BIG HUGO BOSS. ONE BUILDING BY ITSELF), Levi's, Diesel, Esprit and many more which we didnt have time to cover cos Sarah Jane got pickpocketed.. but after the police case, they sent it back to the sch but i doubt the money is still inside. heng she only got 50 euros inside. which is ard $105. she didnt even feel a thing.

After reporting to police, we all (including SJ) went back to shop. i only got one Ralph Lauren Polo tee which is only $60 cos the rest was discounted heavily but still expensive... We shall go back there again some other time.

Shall post some more photos the next time cos i'm using the sch's comp.

Warm Bad Mergentheim

jiralda and winnie that batch from france came over to our town yesterday. went to Wok Wang, the chinese restuarant again and had our dinner. after dinner, we went to Cortina's Cafe for the 4th time. had Bailey's Hot Chocolate (my current fav drink) and Haselnuss Eis (hazelnut ice cream that taste like kinder bueno).

The owner was really really really friendly and we started toking to him and he offered to show us how they make their own ice cream. and so, we went into their kitchen. He told us the process of making ice cream and let us taste the raw syrup tat they put into the ice cream. we tried mocha (super bitter according to those who tasted it) and melon (really really good). they use frozen but real strawberries and bananas to make the fruit ice creams. that guy was REALLY friendly and offered to let us make the ice cream if we go there early enuff in the morning.

too bad we have school.... which is very boring and we were juz in time for class for the first day so we had to sit front row...

jiralda they all took some photos during tat "ice cream tour". might upload those if they are able to pass to us. weekend at mosbach this friday!!! they are going back to singapore soon.... and so are the france batch... seems like we're the only ones left studying....

Audi R6 or R8 tour next thursday and Mercs Museum in Stuttgart next friday. YAY!

NIGHT GROOOOOOOOVE

The night ended at 3am for us.. disco is juz not really my fav tat night... wif the boomzi boomzi music deafening my ears and the smoke tat we were filtering tat night... we went back smelling like ash trays. oh well. ALL WAS FUN TAT NIGHT! who noes tat such a town could be so much fun. was the best experience i had so far in Germany. *i still dislike beer.

Ard 1am, after Frankie's we went to the disco(yes. tats wat they call it here. not clubs) it was super packed and smokey. i felt like we were filtering the air inside for them
The next place tat we hopped into was Frankie's Diner. Its an american bar and the music there was ROCK 'N' ROLL!! Elvis etc etc... it was the best bar i've went to tat night. everyone was juz dancing and shaking and stuff to the music and the band was super friendly too. the music was juz great@!

Even the museum was opened tat night and it has live jazz band (i tink) but they were taking a break when we got there so we decided to hop to another place.

i'm happy :)

me and corrina. shes one of the best german i've met so far. shes friendly, approachable and takes great care of us.

The first stop

April 5th, Friday. NIGHT GROOVE!!! its a major event in the town i'mstaying in. its a big bar hopping event where almost all of the bars in Bad Mergentheim participates and wif 11 euros, we get to go into all the bars. They have live bands of diff genre in diff bars.

So our first stop. Engel something.. its a nice cafe during the day. but during night groove, there was alive band singing oldies and modern pop/rock. it was sooo nice. the atmosphere was great.
